It’s BBQ season again! Why not having a BBQ Party? Many people not familiar with the concept often ask why BBQ yourself? It seems like a lot of trouble. There is an abundance of eating choices out there, why bother? Well, there are MANY reasons why having a BBQ party is one of the favorite leisure time activities in the summer. It is also a long-time family tradition for many American households.
IT’S FUN TO GO TO A BBQ PARTY
There is nothing more fun than planning a BBQ party. You get to pick your favorite meats, seasoning them exactly the way you want it. For guys, this is an opportunity to show off their master BBQ cooking skills and not have to worry about the need to be neat and/or proper. As long as the meat comes out delicious, there are a lot of ways to experiment and create.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE COMMUNITY!
BBQ is best when not a solitary event. What makes BBQ so uniquely inviting is that it creates a perfect atmosphere for a group of friends and family to come together. They get to hang out by the grill or pit watching their food being cooked while drinking beer or wine and engaging in all kinds of conversation.
At times like ours where so many people are missing the opportunities to interact with people person-to-person, throwing and/or being invited to a BBQ party helps people get reacquainted with the joy of reconnecting with fun loving human beings. Most importantly, it eliminates the feeling of isolation and loneliness.
TEAMWORK MAKES DREAM WORK
The most memorial BBQ is never created by one-person; it’s created collectively by the people who join the party. That’s why each BBQ is often fun, unique, and memorable in its own way.
At a typical BBQ, there is ALWAYS a person (usually a guy) that is solely in charge of the grill or the pit (DON’T MESS WITH THE PIT BOSS, HE IS IN CHARGE!). And a great BBQ cannot be achieved without an abundant variety of drinks suitable for all guests, big or small. Moreover, there will be plenty of delicious sides, desserts, and outdoor games to keep guests entertained. This is where Teamwork makes dream work!
When guests bring their favorite side dishes, desserts, drinks and even games to share, that’s when the whole magic of a BBQ comes alive. Having an experience of putting a great party together through sharing food, conversation, and laughter creates one of the best and longest-lasting human experiences with one another.
GAME ON! WHO’S THE BEST?
Believe it or not, besides having fun, BBQ is actually a serious past time sport for many men. Just watch all the BBQ competitions and championships throughout the countries and on TV. Like an iron chef on grill and pit. Every man grill and smoke imagining that they are king of the hill and their BBQ “ranked supreme!” So, why not? We all get to be the beneficiary of this friendly competition!
BBQ PARTY – GET HANG OUTSIDE
For those who forgot what outdoor experiences is like because of the lock-down, hosting or attending a BBQ party! This is a good and safe way of re-introducing yourself back to the outdoor environment with the community you love. Instead of stale indoor air, you get to smell the delicious BBQing smell plus the fresh air outdoor offers. I cannot imagine a more satisfying day than to be surrounded by fresh air mixed with BBQ smell. Not to mention to be surrounded by the laughter created by all the interesting conversations from our favorite people in the world.
DON’T FORGET THE BBQ!
Last and not least, we are talking about BBQ after all! What could be more divine than biting into perfectly smoked ribs, beef briskets or grilled salmon and chicken? NOTHING! Just the anticipation of having the first bite, make everybody’s mouthwatering. Just that, make the case for Why BBQ!
